NOVICE COMMITTEE
Novischutskottet
The Novice Committee is the part of the Law School that you will probably meet first during your time in Lund. “Novice” means exactly that – a new student, who will of course be introduced to everything that the law program and the Law School are and have to offer. The committee consists of two dedicated novice supervisors and a group of happy and enthusiastic sponsors. Both sponsors and supervisors are in their second semester of the program, which means that they have just been just as new to Lund and the law program as you are now. In other words, they often understand exactly what questions and concerns you have as a novice, whether it concerns dress codes, academic quarters or where to find the cheapest course literature.
Novice period
During the novice period, you are welcomed as a new law student through a well-filled program with activities of many different kinds. Usually, everything from traditional pea soup sessions to fun point hunts and tricky quiz nights is offered. The novice period is truly an incredibly fun start to your time as a Lundajurist and gives you acquaintances for life, useful lessons about student life and memories beyond the ordinary. It can hardly be more magical than that!
